I have not mastered excel spreadsheets by any means.

I have, however, taught myself how to use two different formulas today, so that I could make my novel_in_90 wordcount spreadsheet look nicer, and also give me the information I want.

I saved copies of the nanowriye spreadsheet and a template of rykaine's. I also had one for NaNo that theillusionist had helped me to look more like one takaal posted a pic of a while back.

So I learned basics from Tifa, and then looked at formulas on the other two spreadsheets to see how I could improve what I had.

And it worked! ^_^_^_^_^

I use a template that I found on microsoft.com. It's supposed to be so you can keep track of your monthly budget and expenses, but instead I put # of words where the money column would be. It works well.

Hm, I never thought to look there.

What kind of things does the template you're using do? Did you modify it at all?

It breaks it up into different categories of expenses...so I changed those to be the stories that I'm working on. It already did monthly counts and a year to day count automatically so I've modified it to do weekly counts as well since one of my groups does that.
